According
from urban legend, geger hill is first human life from madura island. Folktale said
in fact, first human step in madura island is pranggulan vice regent came from kingdom
medang with her wife dewi ratna roroagung which princess from medang kingdom. At
that time dewi ratna roroagung pregnant, they sailed to the sea at last
stranded to place called planggiran (reef) on hill geger. Dewi ratna roroagung
famous called potre koneng, she always live as an ascetic on the cliff in hill
geger. On rock usually used by potre koneng called palenggiyan, you can come to
see the site if you visit geger hill.
