in colonial time ago beach boom, use for important port dutch in colonial time. Important building like supply warehouse still stand. Economic activity crowd for fish auction isn't use anymore.  Fisherman activity not as crowded as before.

Since the end 2012 in this beach held event parade “Gandrung Sewu”, namely thousands dancer gandrung dance above boom beach sand. This event agenda held annually. Apart performances “Gandrung Sewu”, Boom Beach choosen for music jazz performances theme “Banyuwangi Beach Jazz Festival” in 2013. 

Since 2014 Banyuwangi government determine for elevating potential boom beach, become one of  destination main tourism in banyuwangi. Consideration cause from survey, boom beach had high visitor from domestic people banyuwangi. Boom Beach will be renovation and development become cleaner, cozy, and beautiful beach with purpose characterize “Osing”. 

Boom Beach located in east side city of Banyuwangi. The distance from the city center only 2 Km, so that is called beach of town.
